¿Quieres?

¿Tienes una web(o weblog), con tu diseño propio, pero te ves incapaz de portarla a un código que valide los estándares de la W3C? Yo te ayudo.
Lo que os estoy proponiendo es haceros un trabajo gratis, sí, pero espero que así os “engancheis” al desarrollo de sitios usando código validable y tecnologías estándares.

Todo lo que teneis que hacer es avisarme, comentando aquí, o enviando correo a mmolina [arroba] sistnet.com; adjuntando una copia de vuestra web, los .htmls, imagenes, css (si usais) etc y yo os devolveré una reproducción lo más fiel posible a vuestro diseño, pero con código XHTML y hojas de estilo CSS que validen contra la W3C.

Ojalá esto tenga aceptación, me quedé sorprendido cuando ví en minid.net multitud de gente que “reclamaban” cursos de maquetación en CSS cuando es algo, que no es ningún “misterio” y que con un poco de dedicación se saca. Si lo preferís, escribo un articulito sobre el tema, pero es que yo repito que es un tema que ya tratan bastantes manuales.

NOTA1: No pienso estandarizar una web no-personal, si tras la web van intereses económicos, tendremos que hablar de otros “terminos de contrato”.
NOTA2: No voy a rediseñaros vuestros sitios, el diseño lo mantendré lo más exacto que pueda o sepa, lo único que haré será portaros el código a XHTML y usar hojas de estilo CSS.
NOTA3: No tengo ni idea de la aceptación que esto puede tener, ojalá seais muchos los que queráis que os eche un cable, pero en ese caso pediré paciencia :-) no voy a dedicar 25 horas al día a esto; si me desborda, optaré por el articulo sobre maquetacíon con CSS, y así aprenderéis vosotros.

ACTUALIZADO: José Antonio Echagüe / etxe de http://programacionlogica.blogspot.com/ fue el primero en ponerse en contacto conmigo, y por tanto, el primer sitio que he revisado: ya han desaparecido sus tablas y he revisado el código y la hoja de estilo, que tenian algun que otro fallito, ahora valida el CSS y para que valide el XHTML faltan unos detallitos que él se encargará de solucionar.
Aquí tenéis lo que le he mandado a etxe para que lo adapte a su plantilla, si no notais cambio aparente con su web es porque he puesto empeño en que parezca identica :-) sino no tiene gracia, eso si, las tripas si que son distintas.

  1. Pues ya te comentare por correo mi messenger y hablamos de alguna cosilla. La verdad yo en este tema soy autodidacta, se como funciona el codigo pero mi problema es que no lo consigo retener (tal vez sea por el corta y pega, tiro mucho de el) por que en realidad empiezo a saber a utilizar los tags.

    Tengo que comentarte algo sobre un diseño.

  2. El artículo sobre maquetación con CSS suena muy interesante ojalá te animes a hacerlo.

    Por otro lado, tengo una pregunta en la que espero me puedas ayudar…

    Justamente estos días estaba leyendo un poco de este tema y quería dejar de usar tablas en unos sitios que hice anteriormente y usar solo DIVs y CSS. Pero lo que no logro hacer aún es posicionar los DIVs, quiero tener un recuadro de dimensiones definidas (780×440) totalmente centrado en la pantalla tanto horizontalmente como verticalmente.

    Antes lograba esto fácilmente usando tablas, simplemente hacia una tabla con ancho y alto 100% , luego centraba el contenido y hacia otra tabla dentro con las dimensiones que quería.

    cómo logro el mismo resultado sin usar tablas?
    ojalá me puedas ayudar, saludos y felicitaciones por la página me gusta, primera vez que la visito pues lei un comentario tuyo en ALT1040

    Por favor, mándame tus dudas al correo, o postealas aquí (creo que será más comodo por correo), y te ayudaré en lo que pueda/sepa.

    Tranquilo, que a todos nos costó al principio aprendernos cada una de las propiedades/sintaxis de CSS, con práctica, y menos cortar y pegar, te aseguro que se soluciona… y te “reirás” de cuando no te las sabías de memoria :-)

    A mi también me interesa mucho lo de maquetación con tablas mediante CSS, de hecho conteste al comentario en Minid sobre esa cuestión.
    Es algo de alavar que la gente quiera ayudar a otros por el mero hecho de ayudar.

    Un par de preguntas.

    mi blog esta casi todo hecho en php (por mi) y aunque valida css, no puede validar xhtml precisamente porque esta en php, ¿como podría hacer para que la dirección index, fuese la que el php pinta, y no la propia index.php.

    No sé si me entiendes.

    Y otra pregunta tecnica, a ver si puedes explicar algo sobre el trackback porque yo estoy interesado, pero claro, como es un estandar de movable type pues hay que adaptarse.

    Si dominas del tema podrias escribir algo acerca de esto o un pequeño script con la parte mas importante del algoritmo.

    ¿por qué dices eso? tú tienes una página .php que tras interpretarla el servidor, te lanza una página en lo que tú quieras, xhtml incluido. Lo que tendrás que hacer será poner un DOCTYPE correcto(he visto que no lo usas), para que el validador sepa qué “tipo” de documento tiene que validar.

    Como ejemplo, tienes esta web, mis páginas son todas .php, pero eso no afecta abslutamente en nada a la hora de la validación.

    Si alguien cree que estoy equivocado, que lo diga por favor.

    Sobre trackbacks sé lo que he leido por ahí, nunca lo he implementado ni nada, vamos que no me he peleado nunca con eso. Ni siquiera los uso en este weblog :-)

  10. He visto que en tu sección “tips and tricks” la caja de contenido principal (div#container) se corta sin llegar hasta abajo, lo cual dá una sensación de error en el diseño, en Mozilla Firebird. A mi me sucede lo mismo con un Blog que le hice a un amigo » http://www.adukal.com/paradigma/ /> Tienes idea de cual es el hack o la forma correcta de corregir eso?

  12. Alex: sí, ya sé que ocurre eso, pero nunca he encontrado una explicación del porqué.
    No sé si es por que Mozilla ajusta el tamaño del “container” al tamaño de la capa más pequeña (en heigth). El caso es que si la capa de al lado del menú tiene más texto no ocurre.
    Si logras saber la expliación real, no dudes en contarmelo.

    Sergio: me alegro de haberte resuelto esas dudas. En cuanto a lo que me planteas, la verdad no he entendido la pregunta, ¿no podrías mandarme al correo la página en cuestión, o explicarte un poquitín mejo? Si lo que quieres es “mover” una capa, tendrás que usar javascript, al estilo dhtml.

    Aprovecho la ocasión para darte públicamente las gracias por tu atención al revisar mi sitio, aunque como ya te diche por correo de momento voy a dejarlo como está. Además, según he comprobado en el validador del W3C, tanto da el esfuerzo de validación porque los enlaces permanentes de Blogger y los del sistema de comentarios dan un continuo error, creo que porque son direcciones PHP.     hay un hack que genera un layout de 3 columnas que se mantienen siempre con high 100% sin importar la cantidad de contenido de cada una.
    Creo que el truco está en el background …

  21. Acerca del “Bug del Mozilla (y Netscape 7)”

    Yo lo que hice para resolver este problema, fue poner después de los dos divs que son mis columnas un div vacío con la propiedad clear:both, los tres están dentro de un div que es un contenedor.

  22. Bueno sonik0, pues gracias por recordarme que pase el validador.

    Los errores que he visto, a parte del onunload en el body(que lo uso para guardar las cookies de “new”), eran de etiquetas mal cerradas, o alts perdidos en imágenes.

    Me son más útiles las imaagenes de “new”(comentarios y posts) que evitar ese error al validar.
    De igual manera, me gusta como quedan los bordes con -moz-border-radius, asi que prefiero tenerlos a que valide el css.
